Meet Judie!

My friend, Judie, has an incredible gift for making cards and I’ve shared some of them in ealier posts. Now I’d like to introduce you to the person behind the cards.

She says, “Hi, I am Judie Fralick. I am a Christian, a farmer’s wife, mom of 2 sons and I’m a friend. I find joy in making and sending cards. My stamp room is my ‘happy place.’ ”

Judie’s stamp room is definitely a “happy place”. It is full of love and passion for her work. Everyone who knows her would also say that she is a great friend and glorifies the Lord with her many talents. She keeps busy as a farmer’s wife, but finds time to bless others. No matter the occassion, she has a gift for making the right card. People appreciate her work and often request her cards.

I’ve been blessed by her friendship for over 20 years and I love that she is unselfish. She shares her ideas and teaches me new techniques. Did I also say she is humble? She has no idea what a gift she is to others.

I’m so excited to share Judie’s cards on a regular basis with you. To see previous posts you can visit More Cards From Judie and Judie’s Beautiful Cards. For these cards she used the Birds and Branches stamp set and the Birds and More dies.

As you can see, her work is perfection. When you look at the Birds and More dies and then look at her card you ask yourself, “How did she do that?”

She explained that the main die doesn’t cut the circle completely out. She die cut it then used a regular circle die to finish it. The circular focal point softens the look, making it more delicate.

She also used one of the embossing folders from the greenery pack to make a fabulous background.

Coloring the birds to look like robins and making robin blue eggs (using balmy blue) was clever. She shows how you can use color to give these birds a special look.
